Full Job Description

Summary (General Description):

Responsible for the overall performance of the Electrical Service Division. Lead, manage, and direct a staff of approximately 13 hourly and salary personnel who are dispatched to install, inspect, repair, and maintain electrical equipment and electrical distribution systems in industrial, commercial, institutional, and residential environments. Responsible for P&L of the business unit as well as all phases of the service process from job quote to job close-out.

Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

· Operate a company vehicle

· Recruit and hire staff as necessary

· Develop and grow the electrical service business

· Oversee the job quote process and project scheduling

· Ensure high level of customer service by proactively engaging with staff and customers. Inspect job sites when possible.

· Oversee job safety, quality control, and close-out process

· Oversee customer billing and vender invoice verification

· Continuously evaluate division operation for improvement opportunities in safety, quality, cost, and efficiency. Work with Operations Manager to implement continuous improvements.

· Oversee training and development of staff. Ensure staff has access to training that will help them meet division goals and help them develop professionally

· Oversee safety compliance for division

· Manage job performance review process, salary review process, and discipline process

· Coordinate with, and support, other company divisions regarding manpower needs

· Ensure Division follows Kemco Corporate Policies and business processes

Qualifications (Skills, Education, Certifications, Experience):

Required:

· Possess a valid driver’s license

· Proficient in MS Office Word and Excel

· Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff.

· Skilled at solving conflict between different project members and staff.

· Outstanding negotiation, organizational and problem-solving skills.

· Strong leadership skills.

· Must have excellent interpersonal skills

· Detailed knowledge of electrical feeder distribution, medium voltage system installation, switchgear, generators, underground distribution systems, fire alarms, and UPS

· Proficient at applying NEC to electrical work

· Able to produce and follow written and verbal instructions and effectively communicate with customers/coworkers/supervision

· 5+ years of managerial/supervisory experience

Preferred Qualifications:

· Prior experience as an Electrical Service Division Manager

· Prior Job Estimating and Project Management Experience

· Electrical License

Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
