About us

Care Options Rx is a family-owned pharmacy with over 45 years of experience servicing our community and surrounding areas. We have one long-term care pharmacy location where we use the latest technologies to prepare prescriptions for skilled care, assisted living, and other long-term care residential facilities. We also have common ownership with West Perry Pharmacy in Loysville, Pennsylvania. We understand that our customers have high expectations as to the quality of our products and services. We continually strive to exceed those expectations, often going above and beyond to meet our customers' needs. We are looking for those who appreciate these ideals and enjoy working in a family type atmosphere. The successful hire will be joining a group of pharmacists that has created a work-life balance amongst each other.

We are seeking an energetic and compassionate professional with an interest to join our team of Pharmacists. The successful candidate will support our customers by reviewing and executing physician’s prescriptions while checking their appropriateness and legality. There is also record keeping of patient history as well as all activities regarding medications, while complying with applicable legal rules, regulations, and procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience entering prescription orders, though not necessarily in a long-term pharmacy setting. Critical thinking skills are necessary, as well as the ability to multi-task and follow directions. The ability to work amongst a diverse group of co-workers is also expected, as Care Options Rx is an equal opportunity employer. The ideal candidate possesses outstanding organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and excellent communication skills, all intertwined with integrity and collaboration. Candidates will need to be licensed and be a registered pharmacist in the state of PA.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive medication management for residents in assisted living/skilled facilities, ensuring accurate medication administration and adherence to protocols.
Conduct patient assessments to evaluate medication needs and monitor therapeutic outcomes.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient care and communicate effectively with residents and their families.
Maintain inventory management and ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, including HIPAA.
Utilize pharmacy software to document patient information and medication records accurately.
