We're looking for an Electronics Engineering Technician who loves variety: troubleshooting boards, building prototypes, laying out PCBs, and supporting Engineering on real projects from concept to production.
You'll need an associate's degree (or trade equivalent) in electronics, 2+ years of troubleshooting experience, and the ability to juggle multiple projects with precision.

1. PRIMARY PURPOSE - Summarize the primary purpose and objective of the position (why the job exists).
Reports directly to the Engineering Manager, and is responsible for assisting and providing support for a very diverse range of moisture detection projects. Supervision will be directed primarily by the Engineering Manager but partially by the other Engineer(s) requiring support on specialized projects. Facilitates prototype development and trouble shoots designs.
2. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Briefly describe each major job function (those essential to achieving primary purpose). Use specific active verbs that describe what the incumbent does (e.g., “composes,” or “types” letters, rather than “prepares”), and indicate why the function is performed (e.g., composes letters to respond to customer inquiries). In addition, please identify the approximate % of time spent annually in performing each function.
- Operates test equipment including multi-meters and Oscilloscopes.
- Gathers data, executes test-plans and compiles data in Excel or MS Word as directed by the engineer.
- Fabricates prototypes and fixtures from engineering specifications
- Setup and cleanup of 3D printed parts.
- Creates and manages engineering documentation of projects.
- Must be able to read and interpret electronic schematics.
- Use Basic troubleshooting skills to diagnose production line issues to board or module level.
- Use 2D CAD software to create new drawings and modify current ones.
- Procures components and materials in an effort to reduce Cost of Goods or replace obsolete parts.
- Utilizes soldering skills as needed
- Excellent electronic troubleshooting skills are essential; must be able to perform repairs in a board/component level repair role when required.
- Experienced with Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Gemini and other AI models. Must have experience creating tools, apps, code, reports, prototypes, presentations, or images.
3. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Describe each marginal function (not essential to achieving the primary purpose) in the same manner as requested in Section 2 above.
- Design Printed Circuit Boards.
- Create and modify 2D and 3D drawings.
- May occasionally need to travel to customer’s site for field service or testing of prototypes, primarily within the continental US and Canada.
- May occasionally travel to assembly sites to provide instruction and analyze assembly inefficiencies.
- May occasionally travel to tradeshows and visit suppliers.
4. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE - A. Describe the minimum skills, knowledge, education, certifications, etc., and related job experience (yrs./months ) that incumbent typically must have to perform the essential functions of the job acceptably.
- Must have good communication (oral and written)
- Good time management skills are essential
- Must be highly organized, detail oriented and possess excellent multi-tasking skills
- Must possess and utilize a strong problem solving aptitude and apply as required
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be able to work on and switch between multiple projects
- Must have at minimum an associate's degree or equivalent (trade-school) in electronics
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of electronic troubleshooting
- Must have experience constructing prototypes, using common bread-boarding techniques, and experience in data gathering and reporting using Excel

Pay: $71,240.00 - $89,024.00 per year
