Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Mortgage Loan Officer to join our financial services team. In this role, you will be the key contact for clients seeking mortgage solutions, guiding them through the loan origination process with enthusiasm and professionalism. Your expertise in lending, industry regulations, and customer service will drive successful loan approvals while ensuring compliance with all banking and mortgage standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to help clients achieve their homeownership goals while advancing your career in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Responsibilities

Assist clients by evaluating their financial situations and recommending suitable mortgage products, including residential and commercial loans.
Lead the loan origination process from initial application through approval, ensuring all documentation meets industry standards such as FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines and TILA (Truth in Lending Act) requirements.
Analyze financial data using Excel and other financial software to assess risk, creditworthiness, and lending potential.
Maintain clear communication with clients throughout the loan process, providing updates and answering questions to ensure a smooth experience.
Collaborate with underwriters, processors, and other banking professionals to facilitate timely loan approval and servicing.
Stay current on industry knowledge of financial regulations, banking compliance, and mortgage services to ensure adherence to all legal standards.
Conduct detailed risk assessments for commercial lending cases, utilizing lending analysis expertise to evaluate creditworthiness and collateral value.

Skills

Proven experience in loan origination within the financial services or banking industry.
Strong knowledge of mortgage services, commercial lending, and banking regulations such as TILA and FNMA guidelines.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting; familiarity with financial software is a plus.
Ability to perform basic math accurately, including 10 key typing skills for data entry tasks.
Experience with loan processing, loan servicing, and contract management within a regulated environment.
Demonstrated team leadership capabilities combined with industry knowledge of financial compliance and risk analysis in commercial lending scenarios.
