Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are looking for a friendly, professional, and customer-focused Front Desk Receptionist to join our hotel team. The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for welcoming guests, handling check-ins and check-outs, answering questions, processing payments, managing reservations, and providing excellent customer service throughout each guest’s stay.

Key Responsibilities

Welcome and greet hotel guests in a friendly and professional manner.
Check guests in and out efficiently and accurately.
Handle reservations, cancellations, and room assignments.
Answer phone calls, emails, and guest inquiries.
Provide information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions.
Process payments, prepare receipts, and maintain accurate guest accounts.
Handle guest requests, concerns, and complaints professionally and promptly.
Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance regarding room status and guest needs.
Maintain accurate records and complete daily front-desk paperwork.
Follow hotel policies and procedures regarding safety, security, and guest privacy.
Assist with other front-office duties as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous hotel, hospitality, or customer-service experience preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Professional appearance and positive attitude.
Ability to remain calm and courteous in a busy environment.
Basic computer skills and ability to learn hotel reservation systems.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to multitask and work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred Skills

Experience with hotel property-management or reservation systems.
Knowledge of local attractions and transportation.
Ability to speak multiple languages is a plus.
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift or carry light items as needed.
Ability to work at a computer and telephone for extended periods.
