Full Job Description

Purchasing Associate:

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Associate to join our clients growing automotive manufacturing organization in Wadsworth OH. This position is responsible for sourcing and purchasing specialized parts and components based on customer specifications while maintaining strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers.

The ideal candidate will have prior purchasing experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where attention to detail and strong organizational skills are critical.

Shift:

Monday- Friday 8am-4:30pm

Pay:

Based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

Purchase specialized automotive parts and components according to customer requirements
Coordinate orders with domestic and overseas suppliers
Obtain pricing, lead times, and product availability from vendors
Create and manage purchase orders
Track shipments and ensure timely delivery of materials
Work closely with operations, production, and engineering teams to support manufacturing needs
Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier information
Assist with sourcing new suppliers and identifying cost-saving opportunities

Minimum Qualifications:

Previous purchasing, procurement, or buyer experience required
Manufacturing or automotive industry experience preferred
Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and purchasing systems
Experience reading or interpreting CAD drawings is a plus, but not required
