We are looking for an ambitious, dedicated and dependable trainer/manager to grow with us!

This role will start part time and work up to full time as we add trucks. This is a hybrid roll where you will spend time training drivers, scheduling, overseeing compliance (local/state/federal regulations, MVR’s, background checks), fleet maintenance and sometimes, in the field, covering a route.

You have expertise in logistics, transportation, driving and delivering loads safely and your experience will drive operational excellence!

We are seeking the best because you are management and you will be the representative of our organization.

Responsibilities:

Be able to efficiently and effectively communicate to your team
Jump in wherever is needed, lead by example
Manage day-to-day scheduling including handling call-offs and schedule coverage
Maintain documents and records including driver files and fleet maintenance records
Ensure compliance with company policies, DOT regulations and all local/state/federal regulations and driving laws
Interview, hire, onboard and train drivers
Ability to attract and retain drivers, lead by example and earn the respect of your team
Build a strong relationship with your team and create a culture that people want to be a part of
Lead your team by providing training on safe driving, freight handling (loading, securing loads properly and unloading) and customer service
Continually analyze processes to determine if efficiency is at a maximum and improvements can be made
Communicate with drivers and resolve delivery and/or truck issues
Ability to work independently and as part of a team and be able to multitask
Be able to safely operate a 26’ box truck with liftgate

Qualifications

Must be 21 or older with valid driver's license
Must have minimum of 1 year supervisory/management/leadership experience with deep understanding of DOT laws and regulations
Must have clean driving record and must maintain a clean record (will be reviewed twice a year)
Minimum of 1 year experience driving 26’ box trucks or larger commercial vehicle (CDL is not required but will result in increased pay if you possess and maintain it)
Ability to pass drug test upon hiring and randomly during employment
Ability to pass background check
Ability to acquire, keep and maintain DOT medical card
Perform physical tasks including loading and unloading truck, climbing in and out of the truck and be able to sit for extended periods of time
Ability to lift and move freight, with a pallet jack, in all weather conditions
Reliable transportation
Must be dependable, punctual and self-motivated
Basic mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills
Willing to wear uniform (will be provided)
Safety-minded, willing to go the extra mile for safety and customer service
Results driven and takes pride in knowing that your work is directly affecting the growth of this company

As this business grows, so will your responsibilities, pay and opportunity!

Part time to full time as company grows (starting around 10 hours and working up to full time)

Pay: base pay plus expansion pay, up to $160,000 year (within a year, if the company grows as planned)

Bonuses based on team performance

Weekly pay on Fridays

Same day pay available after 90 days
