Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB) for a 4-month, fully remote contract opportunity supporting a Medication Adherence Program for Medicare Part D members.
In this role, you will communicate with Medicare Part D members by phone, provide information about medication adherence program benefits, respond to member questions, and support daily clinical and operational activities.
You will work closely with pharmacists, pharmacy interns, pharmacy students, and other program staff.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Pharmacy Technician looking for a short-term remote assignment with consistent Monday–Friday hours.
Responsibilities
- Handle inbound calls from Medicare Part D members, including questions and opt-out requests.
- Communicate medication adherence program benefits to members.
- Maintain accurate call logs, spreadsheets, membership records, and program documentation.
- Monitor electronic mailboxes and respond to inquiries appropriately.
- Maintain organized program files and records.
- Assist with researching and analyzing program data to identify trends and potential issues.
- Support the monitoring of program initiatives, outcomes, and objectives.
- Assist with identifying and resolving operational challenges.
- Help prepare reports, plans, and other program-related documentation.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and other program team members.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Active Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) required.
- At least 2 years of call center experience.
- Knowledge of prescription drug names and therapeutic classes.
- Strong customer service and telephone communication skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Ability to work independently and productively in a work-from-home environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of retail or hospital pharmacy experience.
- Experience with Medicare Part D prescription benefits.
- Knowledge of pharmacy claims processing.
- Understanding of formularies and utilization management edits.
- Two or more years of college.
- Project management or program support experience.
