Full Job Description

DSK Law (de Beaubien, Simmons, Knight, Mantzaris & Neal, LLP), a well-established Florida law firm founded in 1976, is seeking a Part-Time Legal/Administrative Assistant to join our Melbourne office.

This is an in-office position working Monday through Thursday, generally from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. We are seeking a professional, detail-oriented individual who enjoys client interaction, administrative work, and supporting attorneys in a fast-paced legal environment.

Responsibilities

Conduct new client and prospective client intake.
Provide exceptional customer service to clients and visitors.
Schedule and coordinate meetings, closings, signings, depositions, hearings, and other appointments.
Prepare and organize electronic and physical client files.
Perform basic fact investigations and obtain public or official records.
Electronically file, record, and retrieve documents.
Draft and prepare legal and administrative documents, including deeds, notices, pleadings, correspondence, and discovery.
Assist attorneys and staff with special projects and administrative support.
Maintain confidentiality of client and firm information.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Periodic travel may be required.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Legal Assistant, Administrative Assistant, Legal Secretary, Office Assistant, Receptionist, Client Intake Specialist, or similar role is preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) and Adobe Acrobat.
Florida Notary Public commission preferred, or willingness to obtain a commission immediately upon hire.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional organizational, planning, and follow-up abilities.
Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Self-starter who can work independently and efficiently.
Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes.
Valid driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
