Full Job Description

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated MRI Technologist to join our medical imaging team. Full-time, Position. The ideal candidate will demonstrate competence in the performance of duties and responsibilities related to MRI Technologist, knowledge of General MRI exams, Angio, analysis of information, patient care, patient education, ACR and compliance. Will also demonstrate competence in the performance of duties and responsibilities related to professional performance expectations and cost effectiveness, productivity, equipment management and radiologists protocol. The position offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative healthcare environment committed to excellence in diagnostic services. Siemens Experience a plus.

Hours

Full-time 1pm-9pm Tuesday-Thursday (flexible on start time) and 7am-6pm Friday, Mainly working at the UCI Suntree location with availability to cover Oaks location.

Locations

Suntree Location: 6300 N Wickham Rd Ste 100 Melbourne, FL 32940

Oaks Location: 1800 W Hibiscus Blvd Ste 100 Melbourne, FL 32901

Responsibilities

Prepare patients for MRI procedures by explaining the process, ensuring their comfort, and positioning them correctly for optimal imaging results.
Operate MRI scanners with precision, adjusting settings to capture high-resolution images tailored to each diagnostic requirement.
Answer any questions the patients may have prior and after the procedure.
Ability to obtain BP and pulse.
Perform IV’s with aseptic technique as needed.
Interpret clinical data provided on requisitions and adjust technical factors if indicated to produce optimal images.
Keep accurate, up to date records of all supplies used, report stock level to administrator, and initiate orders to replenish stocks.
Maintain orderliness and cleanliness in work and patient care areas to practice and maintain aseptic conditions.
Assist in other areas, wherever needed at the center.
Practice sterile techniques in all activities to prevent cross-contamination.
Work with RIS software and call for support when problems arise.
Work with PACS workstations.
Practice & Perform ACR guidelines.

Experience

AS Degree.
Current licensure by the State of Florida.
ARRT (MR) Certification (Required)
ARRT Certification (Required)
Maintain licensure and registry through continuing education.
Proven experience operating MRI scanners in a clinical setting, with a strong understanding of medical imaging principles and anatomy knowledge.
Familiarity with diagnostic radiology procedures including CT, DEXA scans, sonography, and vascular access techniques.
Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to radiology and physiology to effectively communicate findings and assist in diagnostics.
Hands-on experience with IV insertion, patient care during imaging procedures, and maintaining patient safety protocols is highly desirable.
Ability to follow equipment safety procedures meticulously while managing multiple imaging modalities efficiently.

Pay: From $36.00 per hour
