Full Job Description

Compass Intervention Center is a dedicated residential treatment facility located in Memphis, TN. Serving children and adolescents from ages 10 to 17, the center provides comprehensive mental health services, including intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs. Our multidisciplinary team is committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to each individual's needs.

Position Summary
We are seeking a highly qualified Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to lead our nursing department with expertise in healthcare management and nursing administration. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in nursing management within assisted living, nursing homes, or similar healthcare settings. As CNO, you will oversee clinical operations, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and foster a culture of excellence in patient care and staff development. The CNO is a key member of the Compass Intervention Center Leadership Team who will integrate and coordinate a patient centric nursing strategy with a keen focus on patient care; ensuring that delivery of high-quality and cost effective health care is consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Universal Health Services and in accordance with government regulation, licensing and accreditation requirements. The CNO participates in the hospital's strategic planning and contributes to the achievement of institutional goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership for all nursing services, ensuring delivery of high-quality patient care aligned with organizational goals.
Oversee clinical staff recruitment, training, and ongoing professional development to maintain a skilled and motivated team.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, Medicare standards, and state licensing requirements.
Manage nursing operations including staffing schedules, resource allocation, and quality assurance initiatives.
Collaborate with medical directors and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care protocols that enhance patient outcomes.
Monitor clinical performance metrics and implement improvement strategies as needed.
Maintain accurate medical records in accordance with legal and regulatory standards while safeguarding patient confidentiality.
Lead efforts in resident safety, infection control, and medication management to uphold the highest standards of care.

Requirements

Proven experience in nursing management within assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospice & palliative medicine, or home health environments.
Strong background in nursing administration with demonstrated leadership capabilities in nurse management roles.
Extensive knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to diverse patient populations.
Familiarity with medical terminology, electronic medical records systems, and HIPAA compliance protocols.
Experience managing MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments and Medicare-related processes.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to oversee multiple departments simultaneously.
Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or higher
Valid RN license in good standing; additional certifications in healthcare management or nurse leadership are advantageous.
