Corporate Tax Director

Salary: 170K - 220K + bonus (Based on experience)
Location: Memphis, TN
Relocation is provided
Full-time | Direct Hire role

Sirius Staffing is seeking an experienced & strategic tax leader to join a growing manufacturing organization as a Director of Tax. This position will oversee tax operations while partnering cross-functionally with finance and business leadership to support corporate objectives, ensure compliance, and drive process improvements.

This role offers exposure to a broad range of tax initiatives, including corporate income tax, indirect tax matters, strategic tax planning, international tax, tax credits and incentives, cross-border compliance, and tax risk management.

Key Responsibilities

Corporate Income Tax

Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual income tax provisions and related reconciliations
Manage corporate tax return preparation and filings
Support R&D and other tax credit initiatives
Calculate estimated tax payments
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and cross-border reporting requirements
Lead and manage IRS and state tax audits

Indirect Tax Oversight

Oversee sales & use tax reporting and compliance
Manage property tax compliance and appeals
Support indirect tax audits and related activities

Planning, Analysis & Strategy

Support valuation, forecasting, and financial modeling activities
Assist with tax-related financial statement disclosures
Evaluate tax incentives and planning opportunities
Partner with leadership on tax strategies related to acquisitions, integrations, reorganizations, and other business initiatives
Research and communicate the impact of new or proposed tax legislation

Leadership & Collaboration

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing tax team
Maintain strong internal controls and documentation processes
Collaborate with internal departments and external advisors
Drive continuous improvement through automation and process enhancements
Support internal audits and compliance training initiatives
Occasional travel may be required (approx 20% travel, mostly to Canada quarterly)

Qualifications

CPA designation is highly desired (Company will support the cost for obtaining or maintaining certification)
Master of Tax or advanced tax education is a plus
Bachelor's degree in a related Financial/Accounting field required
8+ years of corporate income tax experience required
International tax experience is required
Industry experience preferred; public accounting candidates with strong corporate tax experience will also be considered
Experience with indirect taxes, tax credits, and incentives preferred
Proven leadership and team development experience required
Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations required
Experience with sales & use tax and property tax required
Experience working in a SOX-controlled environment preferred
US Passport required for travel
Must be eligible to work for any US employer without sponsorship now and/or in the future.
