Full Job Description

Overview
At the Holiday Inn Wolfchase Galleria, we’re hiring for a dual-role position that supports both front desk operations and event coordination. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, communicates well across teams, and can manage both guest-facing responsibilities and event logistics.

Responsibilities

Front Desk Leadership

Oversee front desk operations and work scheduled front desk shifts as part of a shared team approach. This role will shift focus to event coordination responsibilities during event periods.
Ensure guests receive a warm, professional, and seamless check-in/check-out experience
Support, mentor, and motivate front desk staff to maintain Holiday Inn brand standards
Handle guest concerns with confidence and a solutions-first mindset
Oversee and support front desk upsell efforts, ensuring opportunities (room upgrades, packages, and add-ons) are consistently offered and accurately delivered to enhance guest experience and revenue

Event Coordination

Serve as the primary point of contact for event planning and execution at the property
Work closely with our catering/sales lead to align food & beverage services with event needs
Coordinate room blocks with the front desk team to ensure group accommodations are accurate and well-managed
Oversee event setup and on-site execution to ensure everything runs smoothly from start to finish
Build and maintain strong relationships with event clients, making them feel like VIPs every step of the way

Requirements

Proven experience working at a hotel front desk, with a strong background in guest services and/or event coordination
Strong skills in upselling techniques
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) to liaise confidently with clients, vendors, and team members
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
Experience in banquet planning or catering coordination is highly desirable
Ability to manage time efficiently while overseeing multiple events simultaneously
Previous experience in hotel or restaurant environments will be considered an asset
A positive attitude combined with a passion for delivering memorable guest experiences
