Full Job Description

Job Summary

We here at NKC of America Inc. are seeking a highly motivated CAD Operator to join our design and engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings, CAD models, and detailed schematics that support construction of our conveyor systems. Your expertise in various CAD software tools will ensure that all designs meet building code standards, client specifications, and project deadlines. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative projects while honing your technical skills in a collaborative environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform the job successfully, the individual must be able to execute each essential duty satisfactorily.

Have the mechanical ability and aptitude to be able to read and interpret detailed technical drawings.
Understand and use standard drafting symbols, tolerances, and weld notes.
Use 2D computer aided drafting (CAD) software to create shop fabrication drawings.
Interpret technical specifications and select purchased parts.
Calculate material and component part weights.
Be able to read and follow project schedules.

Education & Experience:

An associates or technical degree is preferred. Applicable experience will be considered.
Proficient in 2D AutoCad. Experience in 3D software (Catia, Solidworks, etc.) is a bonus.
Experience in a product lifecycle management (PLM) software is a bonus.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem solving skills.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
