Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting materials to and from construction sites, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the dump truck. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Operate a dump truck to transport materials such as gravel, sand, and soil to designated locations.
Ensure the safe loading and unloading of materials while adhering to all safety protocols.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and materials transported.
Collaborate with site managers and other team members to coordinate deliveries and pickups.
Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving on public roads.
Perform basic maintenance tasks on the truck, including checking fluid levels and tire pressure.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
Strong understanding of heavy equipment operation, particularly dump trucks.
Familiarity with freight handling and transportation logistics.
Basic automotive repair skills for minor maintenance tasks on the vehicle.
Ability to operate forklifts safely when required for loading or unloading materials.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety practices during operations.
