Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Commercial Construction Submittal Manager to lead the review, coordination, and management of project submittals within our commercial construction projects. In this pivotal role, you will ensure that all project documentation, including shop drawings, product data, and samples, meet project specifications, contractual requirements, and quality standards. Your expertise will help streamline communication between design teams, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring timely approvals and smooth project execution. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence project success through meticulous management and proactive collaboration.

Responsibilities

Oversee the preparation, review, and submission of all project submittals to ensure compliance with contract documents and project specifications.
Coordinate with project managers, estimators, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary documentation and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
Utilize construction management software and Bluebeam to organize, track, and manage submittal workflows efficiently.
Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to expedite approvals while maintaining quality standards and contractual obligations.
Monitor the progress of submittals throughout the project lifecycle to prevent delays and facilitate timely approvals.
Maintain comprehensive records of all submittals, revisions, approvals, and related communications for audit purposes.
Collaborate closely with the construction team on-site to ensure that approved submittals align with actual construction activities and site conditions.

Skills

Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu for document markup, organization, and management.
Strong negotiation skills to facilitate approvals with vendors and stakeholders.
Experience with HeavyBid or similar construction estimating software for cost analysis related to submittals.
Deep understanding of construction estimating processes and cost control strategies.
Knowledge of construction site operations and construction management principles.
Familiarity with contracts, project management methodologies, and compliance standards in commercial construction projects.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
