Full Job Description

Precise Garage Doors Services is seeking an experienced Garage Door Service Technician who specializes in diagnosing and repairing residential garage door systems. This position is for a hands-on professional with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, not general door installers.

The ideal candidate can quickly identify issues, recommend solutions, and perform quality repairs with minimal supervision. If you take pride in accurate diagnostics, reliable service, and high customer satisfaction, we’d love to have you on our team.

This is a commission-based position, offering excellent earning potential based on performance, sales, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential garage doors, motors, and components to ensure safe and proper operation
Identify root causes of system malfunctions, including springs, cables, openers, sensors, and safety mechanisms
Perform service calls, tune-ups, and troubleshooting efficiently and accurately
Communicate clearly with customers about findings, repair options, and recommendations
Complete necessary documentation and collect payments as needed
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work vehicle and job site
Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience as a Garage Door Technician focused on service and troubleshooting (required)
Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
Proficiency with hand and power tools
Familiarity with common opener brands (LiftMaster, Genie, Chamberlain, etc.) and safety systems
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Dependable, professional, and detail-oriented
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
