Full Job Description

Kicks to Learn is looking for an energetic, reliable, and enthusiastic Hip Hop Dance Coach to lead an after-school dance program for elementary school students in Menifee.

This is a great opportunity for a dancer, choreographer, dance instructor, college student, or experienced youth coach who loves working with kids.

Responsibilities

Lead engaging hip hop dance classes for elementary-aged students
Teach age-appropriate choreography, basic hip hop techniques, rhythm, and movement
Create a fun, positive, and inclusive environment for students of varying skill levels
Maintain appropriate classroom management and student safety
Follow Kicks to Learn lesson plans, policies, and program expectations
Encourage participation, teamwork, confidence, and creativity
Communicate professionally with school staff and Kicks to Learn leadership
Maintain a positive and professional presence at the school site
Help students prepare and practice choreography for potential performances or showcases

Preferences

Experience with hip hop dance, choreography, or dance instruction
Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred
Strong communication and classroom management skills
Energetic, patient, positive, and dependable personality
Comfortable leading and speaking to groups of children
Ability to teach basic choreography in a clear and age-appropriate way
Reliable transportation to assigned school sites
Must be able to successfully complete required employment/background screening

Formal dance education or teaching credentials are not required. We are especially interested in candidates with strong dance experience who are passionate about working with children.

Schedule

Part-time, after-school hours (Monday through Friday from 2:30 to 5:00 PM)
Weekday afternoons
Schedule will be based on school-site programming needs
Consistent weekly hours available for the right candidate (12.5 hours a week)
If you're only available 2-3 days, please apply as we are flexible with personal schedules

$20.00 per hour
