Job Summary

West Bend Transit ( WBT ) is celebrating our 115th anniversary and you should be part of the future. We are looking for someone who likes soliving questions from our Professional Truck Drivers on a day and night basis. Equipment issue, you got it. ELD issue, no problem. You are not rattled easily and can address when someone else is.

Responsibilities

Work with our vendors to make sure equipment is compliant at all times.
Monitor Routes, repair those stingy unassigned miles. ( usually a vendor )
Maintain compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and internal safety standards across all transportation activities.
Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams through multi-line phone systems and phone call management practices making sure the Drivers voice is heard and acting promptly to them, even if it is with and answer they may not appreciate.
If you have a CDL-A you move to the top of the list as there are times to move some equipment from one yard to another. Also to give road tests to new drivers.
Be an integral part of our management team offering plans and ideas for improvement to our organization.
Proven experience in road transportation operations, dispatching, or fleet management with a strong understanding of logistics principles
Familiarity with Geotab, 10 Street, JJ Keller for training and compliance.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage mulitple issues at the same time.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for data entry, shipping & receiving documentation, and compliance tracking
Knowledge of DOT regulations, freight handling procedures, and shipping & receiving best practices
Ability to analyze complex data sets using analysis skills to improve operational efficiency
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with Excel proficiency.
Demonstrated customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and driver interaction expertise.
