Founded in 1926, HW is a state-wide nonprofit providing comprehensive hearing healthcare, education, therapy, and support services for individuals of all ages. The only nonprofit organization of its kind in Wisconsin, each year the team provides critical services to thousands of individuals through its Pediatric and Adult Audiology Clinic; Mobile Audiology Clinic; Kellogg Child & Family program; Assistive Technology Center; and Adult Day program. HEAR Wisconsin is dedicated to ensuring children and adults who are d/Deaf or hard of hearing can communicate, connect, and fully participate in the world around them.
Position Summary:
The Audiology Clinic Director provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, and clinical expertise for HEAR Wisconsin's Audiology Clinic. This position is responsible for ensuring exceptional patient care, leading a high-performing clinical team, driving departmental growth, staying up to date with evolving clinical practices, and achieving financial and operational goals. The Director serves as both a practicing audiologist and the leader of the Audiology department, balancing direct patient care with management responsibilities. The Audiology Clinic Director fosters a collaborative, patient-centered culture while identifying opportunities to expand services, improving efficiency, and supporting the organization's mission. This position oversees both adult and pediatric audiologists.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Leadership & Staff Management:
· Provide day-to-day leadership for the Audiology department including audiologists; audiology assistant; and care coordinators.
· Oversee, train, and coach department staff.
· Assist with recruiting, hiring, and onboarding department staff.
· Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable team culture.
· Conduct regular performance evaluations and professional development discussions.
· Develop staffing plans and schedules to meet patient demand.
· Promote employee engagement, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Clinical Practice:
· Maintain an active patient caseload while providing high-quality audiology services.
· Ensure compliance with professional standards, ethical guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
· Develop and maintain clinical protocols and best practices.
· Support clinicians with complex patient cases and clinical decision-making.
· Monitor quality metrics and implement initiatives to improve patient outcomes.
· Stay current on advancements in audiology and recommend implementation of new technologies and treatment approaches.
Strategic Planning & Growth:
· Develop and execute strategic initiatives that support HEAR Wisconsin’s goals.
· Identify opportunities to expand the program and services.
· Analyze industry trends and research new clinical offerings.
· Collaborate with executive leadership on long-term planning.
· Develop annual departmental goals and monitor progress throughout the year.
· Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase patient satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Financial & Operational Management:
· Develop and manage the Audiology budget.
· Monitor revenue, expenses, productivity, and key performance indicators.
· Identify opportunities to improve financial performance while maintaining excellent patient care.
· Oversee equipment planning, purchases, maintenance, and replacement schedules.
· Ensure efficient scheduling and utilization of provider time.
· Monitor inventory and vendor relationships.
· Implement workflow improvements to enhance patient experience and staff efficiency.
Patient Experience:
· Promote an exceptional patient experience throughout the clinic.
· Resolve patient concerns and service issues professionally.
· Monitor patient satisfaction and implement improvements when appropriate.
· Ensure timely access to services while maintaining quality standards.
Required Qualifications:
· Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) or equivalent degree.
· Current Wisconsin Audiology license or ability to obtain licensure prior to employment.
· Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) preferred.
· Minimum of eight years of clinical audiology experience.
· Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
· Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
· Ability to analyze financial and operational data.
· Proficiency with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office applications.
