Full Job Description

Program: Outpatient Behavioral Health Services
Reports To: Clinical Director
Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday (9:00am – 5:00pm)
Location: Cleveland, Ohio (Main Office; some travel required)

Position Summary

The Clinical Supervisor provides leadership, oversight, and clinical supervision to both licensed clinicians and case management staff within the Outpatient Services program. This role ensures that services are delivered in compliance with Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) standards, CARF accreditation requirements, and agency policies while maintaining high-quality, client-centered care.

The Clinical Supervisor supports staff development, ensures documentation quality, and promotes evidence-based practices to achieve positive outcomes for children, adolescents, and families.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Provide clinical supervision to licensed clinicians and case management staff in accordance with Ohio licensing board requirements

Review, approve, and monitor clinical documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes

Complete and/or update Diagnostic Evaluations (DEs) and Individualized Treatment Plans (ITPs) as needed to support clinical operations and ensure continuity of care.

Ensure compliance with ODM regulations, CARF standards, and agency policies

Conduct routine audits of documentation for accuracy, timeliness, and quality

Support staff in implementing evidence-based practices, community-based interventions, and crisis response strategies

Provide guidance on clinical decision-making, case conceptualization, and service delivery

Oversee staff performance, including coaching, evaluations, and professional development planning

Assist with staff scheduling and workload management to ensure service delivery needs are met

Lead staff meetings, case reviews, and interdisciplinary collaboration

Collaborate with families, referral sources, and community partners to support coordinated care

Address and resolve program, staffing, and client-related concerns in a timely and professional manner

Monitor program performance, outcomes, and support quality improvement initiatives

Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training of new staff

Maintain adherence to ethical standards, confidentiality, and all agency expectations

Qualifications

Active Ohio independent licensure required: LISW or LPCC

Supervision designation (LISW-S or LPCC-S) preferred but not required

Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in behavioral health

Supervisory experience preferred

Knowledge of Medicaid billing, ODM requirements, and documentation standards

Familiarity with CARF or other accreditation standards preferred

Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills

Ability to manage and support multidisciplinary teams across multiple counties

Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR)

Valid Ohio driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance required

Preferred Skills & Attributes

Work Environment

Some travel within Cuyahoga, Lorain, and Summit counties as needed
