What to Expect in the Role
As an Insect Bug Farm Associate / Insect Care Specialist you’ll play a key part in maintaining the health and organization of our Dubia roach colonies. Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Colony Care & Maintenance
● Feed and monitor Dubia roach colonies to ensure overall health and wellbeing
● Lift and handle 30-gallon plastic totes (ranging from 10 to 60 lbs) as part of daily routines
● Perform visual assessments to identify signs of stress, illness, or overcrowding
Sorting & Inventory Management
● Sort roaches by life stage and sex (male, female, juvenile) using provided tools and separator bins
● Collect and record data such as production rates, and survival numbers on to electronic devices
This role is hands-on, detail-oriented, and vital to the success of our operations. This is a physically demanding job that involves lifting, standing for long periods of time and working in warm and humid environments. ● Shift: Monday - Friday OR Sunday - Thursday
● Schedule: 7:00 A.M - 3:30 P.M
