We're seeking an experienced Senior Workers' Compensation Adjuster to manage a complex California workers' compensation caseload. What You'll Do

Independently manage a full caseload of complex California workers' compensation claims from inception through resolution.
Investigate claims to determine compensability, liability, and benefit eligibility in accordance with California workers' compensation laws.
Evaluate medical records, wage information, and legal documentation to make timely claim decisions.
Establish appropriate reserves and adjust them throughout the life of each claim.
Coordinate with employers, injured workers, attorneys, medical providers, nurse case managers, and vocational rehabilitation professionals.
Negotiate settlements and assist with claim resolution strategies.
Manage litigated files while partnering with defense counsel and participating in mediations, depositions, and hearings as needed.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with California regulations and company best practices.
Mentor junior adjusters and provide technical guidance when appropriate.

Qualifications

3+ years of California workers' compensation claims adjusting experience.
Proven experience handling lost-time, litigated, and complex indemnity claims.
Strong working knowledge of the California Labor Code and workers' compensation regulations.
Excellent investigative, analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
Ability to independently manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining quality and customer service standards.
SIP certification or California Self-Insurance Certificate preferred (if applicable).
Bachelor's degree preferred but not required with equivalent industry experience.
