Merced Heart Associates is seeking an experienced PRN Cardiac Sonographer to provide as-needed coverage in our growing outpatient cardiology practice. This position is ideal for a sonographer looking for supplemental income, flexible scheduling, or occasional coverage opportunities.

PRN Cardiac Sonographer (RCS/RDCS)

Merced Heart Associates is seeking an experienced PRN Cardiac Sonographer to provide as-needed coverage in our growing outpatient cardiology practice.

This position is ideal for a sonographer looking for supplemental income, flexible scheduling, or occasional coverage opportunities.

Responsibilities

Perform high-quality adult transthoracic echocardiograms.
Obtain complete diagnostic images following ASE guidelines.
Accurately perform measurements and preliminary documentation.
Provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure efficient workflow.
Maintain equipment and adhere to quality assurance standards.

Qualifications

Required:

Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through ARDMS.
Current BLS Certification.
Minimum of one year of independent echocardiography experience preferred.
Ability to independently perform complete adult transthoracic echocardiograms.

Recent graduates who are registry-eligible are encouraged to apply. Candidates who are actively pursuing their RCS or RDCS credential and demonstrate strong clinical potential may be considered for a structured training opportunity.
