Job Title: Service Technician (Mechanic)
Job Type: Full-time, Hourly (non-exempt) position ($33.00 - $38.00) to start. DOE
Reports to: Branch Manager
Position Summary
We are seeking skilled and motivated Service Technicians to support our operations across Northern and Central California. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain compact construction and agriculture equipment, and machinery.
This position is ideal for a hands-on technician who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent service.

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
- Perform repairs, rebuilds, and preventative maintenance on heavy equipment.
- Complete work orders accurately with clear, detailed documentation.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding repair status and needs.
- Work independently while meeting productivity and quality standards.
- Maintain all equipment and work areas in clean and orderly condition.
- Work within your area with little to no supervision.
- Completes all documents associated with repairs, clearly with legible work order notes in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 3–5 years of compact construction equipment, diesel, or agricultural equipment repair experience.
- Prior heavy equipment and farm tractor service experience as a technician is mandatory.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment air conditioning systems and their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Prior Compact Construction Equipment/Compact Tractor Experience are valuable.
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with dealer management systems (e.g., CDK/IntelliDealer).
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and HVAC.
- Ability to work independently as well as in collaboration.
- Effective verbal, listening, and written communication skills.
- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Compensation & Benefits
· Hourly Pay Range: $33.80 – $38.00 per hour (DOE)
· Overtime: Eligible in accordance with California law
