Full Job Description

Description:

The Events Security & Set Up Associate is responsible for supporting the safe, efficient, and professional execution of weddings and private events at Castle in the Clouds. Responsibilities include assisting with ceremony setup and breakdown, maintaining a visible presence to ensure guest compliance with venue policies, and helping create a safe and welcoming environment for all guests.

This role also provides hands-on support for event operations, including setting up and resetting reception spaces, moving tables and chairs, and assisting with other facility preparations. When security coverage is not needed for an event, team members will be scheduled to support venue setup and operational projects as needed.

Qualifications:

Physical stamina and capability of lifting 50–100 lbs
Ability to remain on one’s feet for extended periods, including walking on uneven outdoor terrain
Ability to remain calm and professional in high-energy or fast-paced environments
Strong situational awareness and sound judgment
A friendly, professional, and guest-focused demeanor is imperative to the Events Department
Must be 18 years of age or older
Experience in events, hospitality, or customer-facing roles preferred

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Assist with ceremony setup and breakdown, including the placement, arrangement, and removal of ceremony chairs and other event furnishings.
Support ceremony and reception operations by setting up designated items such as water stations, ice buckets, signage, and other event materials as directed by the Wedding & Event Manager.
Assist with reception room setup, room resets, and moving tables, chairs, and other event equipment when security coverage is not required.
Assist with end-of-event cleanup and breakdown as assigned.
Maintain a visible presence throughout events by monitoring the lobby, gallery, ceremony, and bar-adjacent areas to help ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
Greet guests, answer general questions, and direct guests to designated smoking areas and other event locations as needed.
Enforce venue policies and alcohol regulations, including preventing alcoholic beverages from leaving designated event spaces and confiscating outside alcohol in accordance with Castle in the Clouds policies.
Assist the Events Team in responding to disruptive, unsafe, or unruly guest behavior, helping to de-escalate situations and supporting staff in maintaining a safe event environment.
Communicate any safety concerns, incidents, or policy violations promptly to the Wedding & Event Manager or other appropriate staff.
Remain on-site and available for the full duration of assigned events.
Perform additional event operations, security, and venue support duties as assigned by the Wedding & Event Manager.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
