Full Job Description

Overview

Join our dynamic fabrication shop as a Sheet Metal Worker and become a vital part of a team dedicated to precision metal fabrication and high-quality craftsmanship. In this role, you will be responsible for interpreting technical drawings, operating advanced machinery, and assembling sheet metal components with accuracy and efficiency. Your expertise will help us deliver top-tier products that meet strict safety and quality standards while fostering a collaborative and energetic work environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced manufacturing setting where every detail counts.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and shop math to accurately fabricate sheet metal components.
Set up and operate various fabrication machines including press brake machines, CNC laser cutting systems, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, plasma cutters, stamping presses, and forming machines.
Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools to ensure parts meet quality specifications.
Perform welding using appropriate techniques to join sheet metal parts securely while adhering to safety standards.
Program and operate CNC machinery for cutting, shaping, and machining sheet metal parts with high precision.
Conduct quality inspections throughout the fabrication process to verify measurements, tolerances, and overall craftsmanship.
Maintain a clean, organized work area while following all safety protocols related to machine operation, crane use, and handling of sheet metal materials.
Assist in assembly processes by fitting fabricated parts together according to specifications using hand tools and tooling equipment.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements and ensuring compliance with safety standards in production.

Experience

Proven experience working with sheet metal fabrication in a manufacturing or industrial environment. (Preferred yet will train.)
Hands-on knowledge of operating fabrication machinery such as press brakes, CNC laser cutters, plasma cutters, stamping presses, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and forming equipment.
Skilled in interpreting mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
Familiarity with measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement tools for quality control purposes.
Basic understanding of welding techniques and safety procedures related to machine operation and metal fabrication.
Mechanical aptitude combined with strong shop math skills to perform precise measurements and calculations.
Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
Knowledge of safety standards in production environments including proper use of hand tools, cranes, tooling setups, and measurement devices.
Must have basic hand tools, tape measure, work boots.
Must be dependable, reliable and on time.
Day Shirt M-F 7:00AM to 3:30PM.
