Overview

Responsibilities

Assist the Executive Chef in managing all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, presentation, and service quality.
Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment that encourages growth and excellence.
Oversee inventory management and control to minimize waste and ensure the availability of fresh ingredients for menu items.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards and sanitation regulations across all kitchen areas.
Coordinate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and ensure compliance with health guidelines.
Support menu planning and development, incorporating innovative dishes that align with our culinary vision.
Manage shift schedules, delegate tasks efficiently, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality meals during service hours.
Oversee catering events and banquet functions, ensuring seamless execution from setup to service.
Monitor food handling procedures and ensure proper storage practices to uphold food quality and safety standards.
Collaborate with restaurant management to optimize food service operations and enhance guest satisfaction.

Experience

Proven experience in a supervisory role within a professional kitchen environment, preferably with banquet or fine dining experience.
Extensive background in food production, culinary techniques, and kitchen management within the food industry.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and motivate staff toward shared goals.
Strong knowledge of inventory control, food safety protocols, and catering operations.
Experience working in restaurant or hospitality settings with a focus on food service management.
Familiarity with menu planning, shift management, and kitchen logistics to ensure smooth daily operations.
