Full Job Description

Overview
Join our dynamic construction team as a Pipe Layer/Laborer and be a vital part of installing and maintaining essential pipeline systems. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from water, sewer, storm, and more contributing to critical infrastructure development. You will collaborate with skilled tradespeople, laying pipe, assemblying valves, hydrants, fittings, setting manholes and more and ensuring that all work meets safety and quality standards. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are eager to develop your skills as a labor, this position is perfect for you!

Responsibilities

Assist with the installation of underground pipelines, ensuring precise placement according to blueprints and specifications
Operate Jumping Jacks, Plate Compactors and Hot Saws in addition to power tools.
Read and interpret construction blueprints, drawings, and technical plans to support accurate pipe laying
Use specialized tools like pipe lasers, and dual plane lasers for precise alignment and grades.
Set Manholes to grade, assemble and grout them.
Assemble hydrants, valves, meters, blow offs, air vacs and fittings.

Qualifications

Knowledge of pipe laser, dual plane lasers and how to set them up.
Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately
Experience with utility locating, potholing, and preventing damage
Construction site experience demonstrating safety awareness and teamwork skills
Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
