Job Description:

We are looking for a reliable and skilled CDL driver to join our growing team at Kansas City Refrigeration. As a CDL driver, you can come join our team as an Owner Operator or a company driver! You will be responsible for operating commercial vehicles to deliver goods and products safely and efficiently to various destinations. You will be expected to ensure compliance with all safety regulations and traffic laws. We are looking for Class A, manual endorsement Drivers preferably, but willing to talk to those interested in getting these different certifications as well!

Key Responsibilities:

Operate a Semi Truck, with refrigeration utility trailer.
Safely load, unload, and secure cargo.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and readiness.
Maintain accurate records of hours worked, mileage, and deliveries.
Follow assigned routes and deliver goods on time while maintaining safety.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
Handle customer interactions professionally, providing excellent service.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members.
Report any mechanical issues or accidents promptly.

Job Requirements:

Valid CDL Class A, B, or C license (depending on the vehicle type).
Clean driving record (no major violations or accidents).
Minimum of 2 years experience driving commercial vehicles.
Ability to lift heavy loads (if applicable).
Strong communication and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Ability to pass a DOT (Department of Transportation) physical and drug test.
Have a Manual Endorsement (for company drivers).

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience with Refrigeration loads. But not required.
Knowledge of GPS and route planning tools.
Ability to drive long hours and handle extended trips if necessary (for long-haul positions).
Ability to handle basic cell phone/ computer skills.
