Full Job Description

Safe Sleep Anesthesia is the premiere provider of office-based anesthesia in Kansas. Safe Sleep Anesthesia allows providers and patients a convenient, comforting, and exceedingly safe option to have procedures performed in the office-setting under anesthesia.

A highly selective process occurs prior to allowing anesthesia clearance for Office-Based Anesthesia. Procedures occurring in the office-setting are non-emergent, elective cases. If a patient condition compromises their utmost safety, then anesthesia will not be performed. Safety is our #1 priority with the ultimate goal of alleviating stress, providing comfort, and tailoring the anesthetic experience to meet the patient's unique needs while incorporating our values.

We are currently seeking dedicated and skilled EMTs to join our team on a full-time basis. As an EMT at Safe Sleep Anesthesia, you will play a critical role in delivering care to our community members. You will be responsible to prepare patients for dental restorations under OBA and perform post-anesthesia care after surgery. Medical histories will be reviewed and additional documentation will be acquired when warranted.

Required Education and Experience for EMTs

Current CPR Certification
High School diploma or equivalent
Current EMT certification in the state of Kansas, or eligibility for reciprocity.
Paramedic Certification (NREMT)
A valid driver's license
One (1) years of experience providing basic life support prehospital care is preferred.

EMT Duties and responsibilities consist of:

Primary duties:
prepare patients for dental restoration
perform post-anesthesia care after surgery
review medical histories
request additional documentation where needed
pre-operative phone calls
review health histories
provide pre-surgical instructions
make post-operative phone calls
Interacting professionally with healthcare personnel and patients.
Documenting information accurately in our charting system.
Assisting fellow healthcare personnel providers and providing comprehensive reports.
Maintaining equipment, ensuring cleanliness, and restocking supplies.
Adhering to company and local agency policies and protocols.
Proficiently performs clinical skills.
Operates and maintains emergency medical equipment
Ensures thorough, accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
Maintains patient HIPAA confidentiality and professionalism.
Participates in ongoing training and education to stay current with industry standards.
Functions effectively as a member of a team.

Physical Demands

Involves bending, sitting, kneeling, moving and lifting patients and equipment.
Physical agility necessary to lift and move patients safely.

3 days a week, W- F

Compensation

$20-$23/hr depending on individual experience

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
