Wisconsin Early Childhood Association is a statewide, nonprofit association serving as a professional association whose members care for and educate Wisconsin’s children, aged birth to eight. We are affiliated with the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
Wisconsin Early Childhood Association works to build a foundation for a lifetime of learning for Wisconsin’s young children by promoting excellence in early education programs, supporting professionalism in the early childhood workforce, and calling for greater investment in quality early childcare. WECA’s mission is to meet the professional needs of adults who nurture and teach Wisconsin’s young children through a rich continuum of services.
The WECA Food Program is looking for (1) part-time Bilingual Food Program Area Coordinators. The Food Program Area Coordinators are responsible for monitoring visits for WECA Food Program participants on the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) to ensure compliance with all program policies and procedures.
This is a part-time position that comes with limited benefits. (see below)
Being fluent in English/Spanish is required for this position. In depth knowledge of early childcare programs is required for this position.
This is a hybrid position, working from your home office and going out into the childcare programs to complete the monitoring visits.
Living in the Milwaukee area is preferred. Living in the state of Wisconsin is required for this position.
This position will cover the following counties: Dane, Milwaukee, Kenosha & Racine.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Monitor WECA CACFP participants in their family childcare homes for compliance with United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) regulations concerning the CACFP

Recruit and enroll childcare providers into the WECA CACFP

Disseminate written program compliance materials and forms needed to meet program requirements and assist providers with recognizing and remedying of non-compliances; Must provide documentation and tracking of non-compliance

Review and instruct providers on forms to be retained by provider for program documentation

Complete required home visit forms, online monitoring, and provide information for the WECA Madison support staff

Provide written nutrition materials and instruct providers on the nutrition education component required annually

Communicate between participating providers and WECA claims staff for consistent and efficient performance of USDA requirements

Maintain knowledge of CACFP requirements through trainings and conference calls

Pay rate: $49.00 per visit + $100 per month for office time + $21.02 per hour for meetings and training & .51 per mile.
