Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Medical Assistant to join our team. The Lead Medical Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic while providing exceptional patient care. This individual will lead and a team of patient care assistants and collaborate closely with providers and multiple healthcare professionals to deliver superior healthcare services.

Responsibilities:

Work amongst medical assistant staff to ensure adherence to clinic protocols and procedures.
Oversee patient intake processes, including vital signs measurement, medical history documentation, and medication reconciliation.
Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Manage inventory of medical supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper storage.
Coordinate patient scheduling and follow-up appointments.
Maintain electronic health records accurately and confidentially.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to optimize patient care outcomes.
Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinic operations and patient satisfaction.
Provide compassionate patient education and support on treatment plans, medications, and lifestyle modifications.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited medical assisting program preferred.
Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a medical assistant in a primary care or functional medicine setting.
Proven leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and motivate team members.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacology, and basic clinical procedures.
Commitment to delivering compassionate patient-centered care.
