Full Job Description

Arizona Eye Specialists is a busy, valley-wide Ophthalmology practice, proudly serving our Patients since 1953! Our Corporate Office is seeking a full-time, Billing Account Representative; one who not only demonstrates excellent work ethics, and a professional demeanor, but who also possesses strong A/R experience and a positive attitude. Our Billing Department is composed of a cooperative and supportive billing Team, ready to welcome an additional Team member who is familiar with the importance of timely billing.

Job Requirements:

Bilingual (Spanish speaking preferred).
2+ years medical billing experience (preferred).
High School Diploma or Equivalent (required).
Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, with ability to multi-task.
Team player and self-motivated.
Must have excellent patient service with warm friendly phone etiquette.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Experience utilizing EHR and Practice Management software preferred.
Basic knowledge of medical terminology, including CPT.
ICD-10 coding a bonus!

Responsibilities

Answer incoming patient phone calls handling all patient billing inquiries.
Accurately process and bill claims in accordance with payer requirements and organizational policy.
Verify eligibility as needed.
Post and balance insurance payments daily.
Follow up on unpaid claims accordingly within standard billing cycle time frame.
Work credit balance report which involves identifying correct credit and processing patient and insurance refunds.
Perform other duties that support the organization as requested.
