Do you love building community, telling meaningful stories, planning impactful events, and supporting a mission that changes lives?

For over 45 years, Chrysalis has been a leader in providing safety, advocacy, housing, and healing services to survivors of domestic violence throughout Arizona. We are seeking a passionate and energetic Development & Community Engagement (Volunteer) Coordinator to help advance our mission and strengthen our impact in the community.

What You'll Do:

Volunteer Recruitment & Engagement: Recruit, onboard, train, schedule, and retain volunteers by creating meaningful opportunities that support organizational programs, fundraising events, and community initiatives.
Volunteer Program Administration: Maintain volunteer records, conduct orientations, track volunteer hours, ensure compliance with organizational policies, and coordinate volunteer recognition and appreciation activities.
Community Outreach & Partnerships: Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with businesses, schools, churches, civic organizations, community groups, and service clubs to expand volunteer participation and community involvement.
Fundraising & Event Support: Assist with planning and executing fundraising campaigns, donor events, volunteer service projects, community outreach activities, and special events that increase awareness and financial support.
Donor Stewardship: Support donor cultivation and stewardship efforts by assisting with acknowledgments, communications, donor recognition activities, and community engagement initiatives.
Communications & Advocacy: Promote volunteer opportunities and organizational initiatives through presentations, newsletters, social media, community events, and outreach activities to increase awareness of the organization's mission and impact.
Communications & Donor Engagement: Support donor communications through mailings, newsletters, social media content, and other outreach efforts that promote the organization's mission, programs, and impact.
Program Coordination: Collaborate with program managers to identify volunteer needs, coordinate assignments, and ensure volunteers receive appropriate training and support while enhancing service delivery.
Data Management & Reporting: Maintain accurate volunteer and community partner records, prepare participation reports, monitor engagement metrics, and assist with evaluating volunteer program effectiveness.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Development, Marketing & Communications, Program Leadership, Human Resources, and community partners to strengthen volunteer engagement and mission advancement efforts.
Mission Advocacy: Represent the organization professionally within the community by promoting its mission, values, programs, and opportunities for volunteerism, philanthropy, and community involvement.

What We're Looking For:

Associate’s degree
1-2 years of nonprofit, fundraising, donor relations, sales support, or administrative experience.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Microsoft Office proficiency.
Strong customer service orientation.
Valid Arizona driver's license and ability to travel locally.Strong communication and organizational skills
Social media, marketing, and content creation experience
Passion for nonprofit work and community impact
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
