Executive Director

Job Summary
The Executive Director of Assisted Living is responsible for the overall management and operation of the assisted living facility, ensuring the highest standards of care and service for residents. This leadership role requires a strong commitment to resident rights, senior care, and the development of a supportive environment for both residents and staff. The Executive Director will oversee daily operations, manage staff, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements while fostering a culture of respect and dignity for all individuals.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage all aspects of the assisted living facility, including staffing, budgeting, and program development.
Ensure compliance with state regulations and standards related to assisted living and resident rights.
Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote the well-being of residents and staff.
Oversee medication administration processes to ensure safety and compliance.
Foster a positive environment that encourages resident engagement and participation in community activities.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans for residents with varying needs, including those with developmental disabilities.
Manage financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure sustainability.
Provide leadership and support to staff through training, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement by evaluating services and implementing best practices in senior care.

Experience

Proven experience in assisted living or senior care management is essential.
Strong understanding of resident rights within retirement home settings.
Demonstrated financial acumen with experience in managing budgets and financial reporting.
Experience working in group homes or similar environments is preferred.
Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
Knowledge of medication administration protocols is highly desirable.
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
