Full Job Description

Brunel is currently searching for a PayApps Coordinator for a full-time contract position with our mining client. This position will be a Work from Home position local in Phoenix, Arizona. You will be required to do some site visits occasionally to the Bagdad, AZ mine site. This position will report to the Accounting Manager. Payapps is a cloud-based collaboration tool for the construction industry. It helps main contractors and subcontractors simplify and streamline project progress claims and approvals, including contract variations.

Area of Focus:

Under general supervision, the incumbent will provide diversified support for the leadership and staff of the Project Accounting unit for the Project Controls team on a mining expansion project.

Key responsibilities:

· Responsible for the execution and optimization of the accounting and administrative processes of the Payment Applications (PayApps).

· Manage the e-mail account assigned for the PayApps process.

· Register and review the service receipts in the contract system (GCAS).

· Obtain documentation and approvals from the different departments involved in the PayApps review process, before the creation of the service receipts.

· Manage delays in the approval process and implement solutions for continuous improvement.

· Be the link between the Accounting, Contracts, and Project Controls departments for the realization of service receipts.

· Participate in the accounting month end closing activities.

· Prepare weekly PayApps log for contractor’s Pay Apps status.

· Prepare documentation and reports for the Accounting and Contracts departments.

· Fulfill other functions inherent to the position assigned by the Accounting Manager.

· Performs other duties as required.

Requirements:

· Bachelor in Accounting or Business Administration. Will consider strong accounting experience and PayApps experience in lieu of degree.

· Minimum experience of two years in accounting, financial and/or administrative roles.

· MUST HAVE PayApps experience - (tool used in construction industry.)

· Must be a self-starter, quick learner, highly productive and have strong business ethics.

· Must have working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office products.

· Aconex and SAP at intermediate level.

· Proficient in all MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams.

· Knowledge of contracts and accounting systems.

· Attention to detail and demonstrable problem-solving skills.

· MUST be eligible to work in the U.S. for any employer without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.

· MUST be local to Phoenix, Arizona area and able to work remote.

Job Scope:

· Nature of work: Works on mostly routine tasks and usually implements solutions through collaborative effort.

· Level of interaction: Collaborates mostly with peers in the same functional area, and/or department and has limited external interaction.

· Autonomy/decision making: Works under frequent supervision and has limited latitude to set objectives, priorities and timelines impacting the individual assigned area of work.

· Budgetary responsibility: Has no budget responsibility.

· Managerial responsibility: Does not manage people, function, projects or programs.

Offer:

· This position offers an hourly rate at $40/hr as remote/work from home, with occasional site visits to the mine site in Bagdad, Arizona.

· Full-time contractors are eligible to participate in our medical, dental and vision plans that will begin on your first day of employment.

· 401K matching – 50% match, up to 3%.

· Position will be based on a 5 day work week, average working day is 10 hours.

· Position includes 3 days of PTO, no paid holidays, paid for hours worked only.
