Job Summary
We are seeking a full-time Recycled Pallet Yard / Processing Coordinator to join our pallet manufacturing and recycling operation. This position is responsible for handling, moving, organizing, and tracking recycled pallets as they move in and out of the facility.
The ideal candidate will have experience operating equipment in a production, yard, warehouse, lumber, pallet, or manufacturing environment. This person must be dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable working outdoors, and able to accurately complete paperwork by load for both inbound and outbound recycled pallets.
This position works in an outdoor department alongside a department manager and a team of approximately five employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle, move, organize, and stage recycled pallets throughout the yard and recycling area.
- Track all inbound and outbound recycled pallet loads accurately.
- Complete detailed paperwork for pallet recycling activity by load.
- Count, verify, and record pallet quantities.
- Use a calculator to complete basic math related to pallet counts, loads, and totals.
- Maintain clean, accurate, and legible handwritten records.
- Communicate clearly with the department manager, coworkers, and drivers.
- Help maintain an organized and efficient work area.
- Follow company safety procedures while working around equipment, trucks, trailers, and pallet inventory.
- Support the flow of recycled pallets through the department from receiving to processing and outbound shipment.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of forklift experience working in a production, warehouse, yard, manufacturing, lumber, or pallet environment.
- Ability to work full-time, 40–50 hours per week.
- Ability to work daily hours of operation from 4:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good handwriting and ability to complete paperwork accurately.
- Good basic math skills.
- Comfortable using a calculator.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physical environment.
- Dependable, organized, and responsible.
- Ability to communicate well with managers, coworkers, and drivers.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in pallet recycling, pallet manufacturing, lumber, warehouse, logistics, or yard operations.
- Experience tracking loads, inventory, or production paperwork.
- Forklift or yard equipment experience is helpful.
Work Environment
This position is based outdoors at a pallet manufacturing and recycling facility. The employee will work around recycled pallets, trucks, trailers, equipment, and other production employees. The role requires accuracy, responsibility, and the ability to manage both physical pallet movement and detailed load paperwork.
