Full Job Description

1st Shift: 5:00am - 1:30pm (OT= 5:00am - 2:30pm)

2nd Shift: 1:30pm - 10:00pm (OT= 2:30pm - 12:00am)

Position Summary:

Supports the Distribution Center in Shipping, Receiving, Packaging or Returns.

Position Responsibilities:

Must be able to perform all DC Tech 1 duties (Packaging).
Inspect, sort, store and perform data entry for all core, inbound part/unit shipments, and returned goods according to established ZF guidelines.
Issue OS & D reports for non-compliant shipments according to ZF guidelines.
Pick and pack assigned parts according to shop order, pick tags or use of RF hand held devices.
Support further shop order activity by picking parts for shop unit builds, fulfillment of Kan-Ban systems and completing return to stock transactions.
As needed, transfer stock physically and electronically using computer and/or RF guns.
Pick and pack customer orders by unit/parts according to order notes.
Weight, route, stage and load freight according to order notes and carrier shipping instructions.
Operate the Reach, Manup & Sitdown Forklifts. Operate Wav, pallet jacks, cranes and other material handling equipment as needed.
Support safety and good housekeeping in this performance of Distribution Center duties.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills and Experience:

Previous distribution/warehouse experience required.
Basic PC skills required (on/off, read screen, toggle, use mouse, check inventory)
Forklift experience and proper use of hand tools required.
High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Preferred Skills and experience:

Intermediate PC skills preferred.
Exposure to ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 production environment.
Working knowledge of ZF part numbers and ZF part names a plus.

Physical demands and work environment: The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the associate is required to stand for extended periods of time; 60 minutes continuously up to 9 hours in a 10 hour day, or up to 7 hours in an 8 hour day, walk up to 2 miles per day, handle or feel objects and/or tools; operate power tools; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; bend, verbally communicate; and hear safety indicators. The associate must occasionally lift and /or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of the job, the associate is exposed to a warehouse environment with some office exposure.

The expected base compensation for this role is $19.50 - $21.50 p/hour on 1st shift. 2nd shift pays a 10% shift differential. Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
