Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team and oversee daily kitchen operations. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality food, maintain exceptional food safety standards, and foster a positive, efficient work environment. Your leadership will drive team performance, streamline food preparation processes, and uphold the restaurant’s reputation for excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional passionate about culinary arts and hospitality management to make a significant impact.

Responsibilities

Supervise all kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation, ensuring consistency and quality standards are met.
Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability.
Oversee food safety practices in compliance with health regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
Lead staff training initiatives to develop culinary skills, enhance team performance, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth shift management and exceptional customer service experiences.
Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation.
Conduct regular staff meetings, performance evaluations, and assist in interviewing potential team members to build a strong culinary team.

Skills

Extensive experience in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management within fast-paced environments.
Proficiency with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; strong cash handling skills.
Proven track record in managing inventory control, budgeting, and profit & loss analysis.
Strong leadership skills with experience supervising teams, training staff, and managing hospitality teams effectively.
Knowledge of food safety standards and food industry regulations; experience with food safety management programs.
Excellent communication skills for managerial tasks such as interviewing, staff training, and managerial reporting.
Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality in casual dining or fine dining settings.
