Full Job Description

United Credit Union

Role:

To assist members with their loan applications and process loan requests.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Process loan applications, including running credit report and any verifications as needed. Submit to Mortgage Underwriter for credit decision.
Assist members with loan inquiries and loan applications and mail disclosures as needed.
Order appraisal, title insurance, credit bureau and other items as needed. Assist with property inspection. Record information on each property and keep photos organized for easy access.
E 10% Contact member with credit decision and assist in clearing any loan conditions. Type and mail
adverse action forms on denied and cancelled applications.
Review appraisal, title commitment, flood certificate and pest inspection for any exceptions in preparation of closing. Collect homeowners' insurance.
Work with paid off loans – type Release Deeds and record at County Recorders, copy, mail all Deeds and Notes to member.
Assist with ARM rate adjustments monthly and HELOC as needed.
Organize and verify file on final closed documents.
Performs other related duties as assigned

Performance Measurements:

1. To produce loan documents, reports, and new accounts in a timely fashion, with zero errors.

2. To prepare file for underwriting within 1 days of receipt.

3. To assist Mortgage Underwriter in organizing and completing mortgage files within the prescribed time frame to close loan.

4. To maintain a professional, courteous, and friendly atmosphere for members and co-workers.

5. To maintain working knowledge of all mortgage products and rates, both within the credit union and from the industry overall. To satisfactorily complete all required compliance training and comply with all regulations which apply within the scope of this position.

6. To return all call within 4 hours of receipt.

7. To maintain a dependable record of attendance and timeliness.

Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: We will train for this position, but any related knowledge is helpful.

Education: A high school education or GED.

Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication

Other Skills: Must have good communication skills. Ten key calculator, software/computer and keyboard skills.

Physical Requirements: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. This position regularly works in an office setting. Most of the job duties require the employee to be working with computers and electronic media on a regular basis.
