BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE

Location: Miami-Dade County, Florida
Company: Fitnessmith
Position Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $60,000–$120,000. Total of base salary plus uncapped commission. Actual earnings vary based on performance and may exceed this range.

Fitnessmith is looking for an ambitious, relationship-driven Business Development Representative to help expand our presence in Miami. This is a unique opportunity to work directly alongside one of Fitnessmith’s top-producing national sales leaders. You will join an established sales team, learn a proven sales process, develop expertise across our products and services, and help create new business throughout the Miami market.

You will have the support of a respected national company while building relationships and opportunities in your local market. As your experience and results grow, you will have the opportunity to develop and manage your own portfolio of clients. This is a true business-development role for someone who enjoys making connections, opening doors, creating opportunities, and seeing their efforts translate into results. ABOUT FITNESSMITH

For more than 30 years, Fitnessmith has been leading the fitness industry forward through customized 360° fitness solutions. We work with developers, owners, architects, interior designers, property managers, hospitality groups, health clubs, country clubs, educational institutions, municipalities, and corporate clients to create distinctive, high-performing fitness and wellness environments. Through partnerships with more than 125 manufacturers, Fitnessmith provides a complete suite of services including fitness amenity planning and design, equipment procurement, delivery, installation, and ongoing field service support. We serve clients across all 50 states and manage every stage of a project from concept through installation and service. Our national reach, extensive product portfolio, and in-house expertise give our sales team the resources to create solutions for a wide range of clients, project types, and budgets.

THE WORK

Generate new leads and qualified sales opportunities throughout Miami-Dade County and South Florida.
Build relationships with developers, owners, property managers, architects, designers, hospitality groups, health clubs, country clubs, corporate wellness leaders, educational institutions, and municipalities.
Conduct consistent prospecting through calls, email, social outreach, referrals, networking, and in-person market activity.
Secure introductory meetings and participate in client presentations, site visits, and facility walkthroughs.
Work closely with a top-producing National Sales Leader to advance opportunities from the initial conversation through proposal and close.
Assist with market research, client presentations, lookbooks, proposals, equipment selections, and follow-up.
Represent Fitnessmith at industry events, trade shows, association meetings, and community functions.
Collaborate with Fitnessmith’s design, procurement, marketing, logistics, installation, and service teams to create customized client solutions.
Maintain accurate and timely activity, prospect, and opportunity information in NetSuite CRM.
Stay current on Miami development activity, commercial real estate, fitness and wellness trends, and emerging industry technology.
Achieve established goals for prospecting activity, qualified meetings, pipeline development, and sales revenue.

KEYS TO SUCCESS

Demonstrated ability to generate leads, initiate relationships, and secure meetings with decision-makers.
Strong communication, presentation, networking, and relationship-building skills.
A confident, professional presence and the judgment to represent Fitnessmith credibly with clients and business partners.
Knowledge of Miami-Dade County and an understanding of its business, development, hospitality, fitness, or real estate community.
Excellent organization, time management, follow-through, and attention to detail.
A competitive, resilient, and coachable mindset.
Comfort working independently in the market while collaborating closely with an experienced sales leader and internal support teams.
Professional proficiency in English.
Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft 365, presentation software, social prospecting tools, and AI-assisted business research and outreach.
A genuine interest in fitness, wellness, design, real estate, hospitality, or commercial client solutions

QUALIFICATIONS

Two or more years of business development, outside sales, relationship sales, or lead-generation experience.
B2B sales experience.
Spanish-English bilingual proficiency based on the needs of the Miami market.
Existing relationships within Miami’s multifamily, hospitality, commercial real estate, architecture and design, country club, fitness, or wellness communities.
Experience selling to developers, owners, property managers, architects, designers, or senior business leaders.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
Experience with ECDesign, AutoCAD, Revit, or another space-planning or design platform is a plus.

REQUIREMENTS

This is a field-based position requiring residence in Miami-Dade County and regular travel throughout Miami and South Florida.
A valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record are required.
Availability to attend occasional evening networking events, association meetings, and trade functions.
Ability to travel periodically for company meetings, training, and industry events.
Pre-employment drug testing is required for this position.
