Real Estate Advisor — Fort Lauderdale
Ziegelbaum Group | Compass
Full-Time | Commission-Based | Leads Provided | Growth Opportunity
Ziegelbaum Group at Compass is expanding and looking for an experienced, motivated real estate professional who wants to build a serious, long-term career in South Florida real estate.
This opportunity is designed for an agent who already understands the fundamentals of residential real estate but wants more opportunity, stronger systems, better technology, mentorship, accountability and a team environment built around production.
We are looking for someone who is hungry, coachable, responsive, professional and willing to work.
This is not a part-time or occasional real estate position. It is a full-time, commission-based sales opportunity for someone who wants to grow into a strong producer within Ziegelbaum Group.
What You’ll Have
Leads and real sales opportunities
Our team generates buyer, seller, rental, open-house, database and prospecting opportunities throughout Fort Lauderdale and surrounding East Broward markets.
The expectation is simple: we create opportunities, and you consistently work them.
Established systems
You’ll work within established processes for:
- Lead generation and conversion
- CRM management
- Database follow-up
- Buyer and seller consultations
- Prospecting
- Open houses
- Showings

Our team operates from the Compass office on Las Olas Boulevard, with a strong focus on East Fort Lauderdale, waterfront communities and surrounding coastal neighborhoods.
Hands-on mentorship
Work alongside active agents involved every day in listings, purchases, negotiations, investments and real estate transactions.
We want someone who is willing to listen, learn, implement and improve.
Open houses and showing opportunities
You should be ready to host open houses, conduct buyer showings, attend appointments, meet prospects and turn conversations into clients.
Opportunity to become a producer
We are not hiring someone to remain a showing assistant.
Our goal is to help the right person develop into a productive real estate advisor capable of building their own book of business within the team.
Who We’re Looking For
We are particularly interested in agents who already have real estate experience but may not be reaching their full potential working independently.
You may already know how to show homes, use the MLS and write a contract, but need more leads, stronger follow-up systems, better mentorship and an environment that expects production.
Required Qualifications
Candidates should have:
- A Florida real estate sales associate or broker associate license, either active or voluntarily inactive, with the ability to become properly licensed with Compass before performing licensed activity
- Previous experience working in Florida residential real estate
- Working knowledge of the MLS
- Experience searching properties, running comparable sales and preparing basic market research
- Experience working with buyers and/or sellers
- Understanding of the residential home-buying and home-selling process in Florida

- Experience using a CRM or real estate database
- Comfort working with real estate technology and online platforms
- Ability to manage leads and maintain consistent follow-up
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Professional phone, text and email communication
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Attention to detail when handling contracts, deadlines and client information
- Ability to work independently while following team systems and accountability

- Bilingual English/Spanish
- At least 1 year of residential real estate experience
- Previous closed residential transactions in Florida

- Open-house experience
- Familiarity with Fort Lauderdale, East Fort Lauderdale, Pompano Beach and Broward County
- Experience with electronic signatures, transaction-management software and digital marketing tools
- Social media and basic marketing proficiency
- Comfortable learning and using AI and emerging real estate technology
The Person Who Will Succeed Here
We are looking for someone who is:
Hungry. You want to increase your production and income.
Coachable. You can listen to feedback, learn a system and actually implement it.

Accountable. You follow up when you say you will and take ownership of your pipeline.
Professional. You communicate well, present yourself appropriately and understand that clients are trusting us with significant financial decisions.
Comfortable prospecting. You don’t expect every transaction to fall into your lap. You are willing to call, follow up, nurture relationships and ask for business.
Technology-friendly. You are comfortable working inside a CRM, MLS, transaction platforms, digital marketing tools and new technology.
Available. You understand that residential real estate sometimes requires evenings, weekends, open houses and short-notice appointments.
Team-oriented. You want to succeed individually while contributing to a high-performing team.
What You’ll Do
Your responsibilities will include:
- Respond to and qualify incoming buyer and seller leads
- Follow up consistently with prospects through phone, text, email and CRM

- Maintain familiarity with Fort Lauderdale market inventory and activity
- Coordinate with lenders, title companies, inspectors, appraisers and other transaction professionals
- Guide clients professionally from initial contact through contract and closing
- Create repeat and referral business through exceptional client service
Current area postings similarly expect agents to manage incoming leads, convert appointments, show homes, write and negotiate offers, prospect, manage the CRM and guide clients through the complete transaction.
What Success Looks Like
We aren’t looking for someone who wants to sell a few homes when it’s convenient.
We’re looking for someone who wants to build a business.
Successful agents on our team will:
- Work their leads consistently
- Respond with urgency
- Maintain their CRM
- Prospect regularly
- Host open houses
- Attend appointments
- Learn the inventory
- Improve their sales and negotiation skills
- Follow team systems
- Ask for the business
- Provide excellent client service
- Create repeat and referral relationships
- Become increasingly self-sufficient producers
If you execute consistently, you’ll have a team behind you providing opportunity, technology, systems, mentorship, marketing resources and a platform from which to grow.
