Position Overview
Seaspice is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager with a strong financial and operational focus to oversee HR operations while aligning workforce management with financial performance. This role will play a key part in labor cost management, payroll oversight, budgeting, compliance, and strategic staffing within a fast-paced hospitality environment.
The ideal candidate has significant HR experience in hospitality (restaurants, hotels, or nightlife) and understands the financial drivers that impact profitability, including labor percentages, scheduling efficiency, and compensation structures.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Leadership
- Oversee all HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, training, employee relations, and performance management.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures aligned with company culture and hospitality best practices.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and department managers on HR matters.
Financial & Labor Cost Management
- Monitor and manage labor budgets, payroll costs, and staffing efficiency to align with financial targets.
- Analyze labor percentages, overtime, and staffing trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Partner with finance and operations teams to ensure accurate payroll processing and financial reporting.
- Assist with annual HR and labor budgeting and forecasting.
Payroll & Compliance
- Oversee payroll administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.
- Ensure compliance with hospitality labor regulations, wage laws, and tip reporting requirements.
- Manage employee records, benefits administration, and HRIS systems.
- 7i exemption knowledge is plus
Recruitment & Talent Development
- Lead hiring strategies for front of house, back of house, and administrative staff.
- Implement recruiting pipelines and retention initiatives tailored to the hospitality industry.
- Coordinate training programs and leadership development for managers and supervisors.
Employee Relations & Culture
- Promote a positive workplace culture consistent with Seaspice’s service standards.
- Address employee concerns, conflict resolution, and disciplinary matters professionally and confidentially.
- Implement engagement and retention programs to reduce turnover.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Recruitment, Talent Acquisition, and Employee Onboarding processes
- Comprehensive knowledge of Employee Relations, Conflict Resolution, and HR Policy Development
- Proficiency in Compliance with Labor Laws, Compensation and Benefits Administration, and Payroll Oversight
- Demonstrated ability in Performance Management, Employee Engagement, and Training & Development
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced hospitality environment
- Experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a strong advantage

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
