We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Peer Mentor to join our team and contribute to our mission of improving the lives of these service members and others.
Job Description:
As a Peer Mentor/Sonal Technician at JLC Services, Inc you will play a vital role in identifying and assisting military personnel, first responders, law enforcement and others facing challenges in their day-to-day life. You will collaborate with other team members within our organization to ensure our patients are provided with comprehensive and effective healthcare and wellness services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sourcing: Utilize a variety of sourcing methods, including networking events, speaking engagements, job boards, social media, professional networks, and referrals, to identify and assist individuals that would benefit from this program.
2. Patient Screening: Conduct in-depth assessments to evaluate patients’ qualifications and compatibility within our program.
3. Collaboration: Work closely with other team members in the organization and clinicians in our ETMS clinics to understand patient needs. Attend required meetings within the recruiting department, leadership, and cross-functional teams to discuss recruitment strategies, updates, etc.
4. Patient Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with patients, ensuring a positive experience throughout the program. Check in on patients, every week while in the program, follow ups every two weeksfor the first month post treatment and monthly throughout months (1-3) to ensure satisfaction. Responsible for serving as a liaison between patients and clinical staff as necessary.
5. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.
6. Reporting: Generate regular reports and metrics to track recruitment performance and make data-driven improvements. Employee will be required to input all information, data and updates into the recruiting portal on a daily basis. Employee will be responsible for submitting weekly work logs (SIT REPS) to Jeff Lindquist and Ron Shumard prior to Monday morning meeting.
7. Diversity and Inclusion: Promote diversity and inclusion in recruiting efforts to ensure a well-rounded and culturally competent organization.
8. Training: Prioritize ongoing education and continuous learning. It is integral for professional growth and staying current in our dynamic industry.
9. Patient Care and Treatment:
- Administer transcranial magnetic stimulation therapy to patients following prescribed treatment protocols.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the treatment session, addressing any concerns or discomfort promptly.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions or side effects during and after TMS sessions, reporting any issues to the supervising healthcare provider.
10. Equipment Operation and Maintenance:
- Set up and calibrate TMS equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and treatment parameters.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on TMS devices to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions or technical issues, coordinating repairs or replacements as needed.
11. Documentation and Record-Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of patient treatments, including session details, treatment parameters, and patient responses.
- Document any adverse events or unexpected outcomes associated with TMS therapy.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and medical record standards in all documentation tasks.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a former First Responder, Police Officer or Military Personnel Required.
- Knowledge of military, first responder, law enforcement and veteran culture
- Understanding unique challenges faced by military personnel, first responders, law enforcement, veterans, and other dealing with mental and physical health issues.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in using recruitment software and applicant tracking systems.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.
- Knowledge of relevant employment laws and regulations.
