Full Job Description

Overview
Girl Power Rocks, Inc., a leader in providing safe spaces and trauma informed evidence base programs for at-promised girls is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Program Coordinator to lead and support the implementation of the Girls Intervention Program Plus (GIPP) under the OJJDP Preventing Sex Trafficking of Girls grant, a vital initiative focused on empowering young girls through targeted support, education, and community engagement. The Program Coordinator will play a critical role in delivering high-quality programming and supportive services to girls ages 13–17. GIPP is a structured prevention and early intervention program designed to reduce risk factors and prevent the victimization of girls vulnerable to sex and labor trafficking. This role is responsible for coordinating and facilitating program activities that promote social-emotional development, leadership, and overall well-being in a safe and empowering environment. As a key team member, you will coordinate program activities, build relationships with community partners and ensure successful delivery of program outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Education, Human Services, or a related field preferred.

2. Minimum of 2 years of experience working with youth, families, juvenile justice, child welfare, education, or community-based programs.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
4. Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
5. Ability to work independently with little supervision.
6. Excellent Leadership and interpersonal skills.
7. Knowledge and experience of adversities facing children in at-risk communities with focus on at-promise girls.
8. Strong classroom management, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

1. Implement services and activities according to approved Scope of Services and evidenced based curriculum.

2. Plan and facilitate designated evidence-based curriculums, enhancing lessons with creativity, ensuring supplies are in order, and coordinating outside workshops with the approval of the Program Manager.

3. Maintain client files and collect required student data for all participants, including but not limited to case notes, report card records, attendance, and demographic spreadsheets.

4. Responsible for outreach/recruitment/ engagement of required number of program participants according to the Scope of Services.

5. Compile monthly, quarterly and annual reports for funders, partners and evaluations.

6. Co-Facilitate monthly parent meetings, student field trips and community service projects.

7. Attend weekly in person staff meetings and other meetings as related to program services.

8. Comply with the agency’s policies and procedures including confidentiality and equal opportunities

9. Attend annual compliance trainings in addition to regular working hours. Mandatory trainings include back to school training in August, winter break training in January and other trainings throughout the year.

10. Build and maintain relationships with school staff and community partners and families.

11. Attend staff meetings, trainings, coalition meetings, court hearings, and community events as required.

12. Other duties as assigned

The goal of GIPP is to prevent and reduce the victimization of girls who are vulnerable to sex and/or labor trafficking by addressing key risk factors and strengthening protective factors through education, mentorship, and supportive services.

HOURS:
-Part-Time Position/26 hours per week
-Working Hours (in accordance with MDCPS calendar)

School Year Hours (August to June): Monday- Thursday, 12:00 pm to 5:30 pm and Friday 11 am – 3 pm
Summer Program Hours (June to August): Monday through Thursday 10 am to 2 pm
