Job Title: MEP Project Manager (MEP Systems)

Job Type: Freelancer - Contract - Full-Time - Contract (6 months Max)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated MEP Project Manager with a strong background in managing MEP Systems projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, design, execution, and completion of MEP works on various construction and renovation projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Coordination:

Develop comprehensive project plans for MEP systems, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgets.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure integration of MEP systems with other construction disciplines.
Monitor and manage project schedules, ensuring deadlines are met.

Team Leadership:

Lead and manage a team of engineers, technicians, and subcontractors responsible for the installation and commissioning of MEP systems.
Foster collaboration among team members and ensure high standards of work performance.

Project Execution & Quality Control:

Oversee the installation of MEP systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to plans, specifications, and regulations.
Ensure that systems are tested, commissioned, and handed over to the client in operational condition.

Budget & Cost Management:

Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost control measures are in place.
Prepare cost estimates, negotiate with vendors and subcontractors, and approve expenditures.

Risk Management:

Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the project stays on track.
Address any issues or challenges that may arise during the execution of the project.

Client & Stakeholder Communication:

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress.
Prepare reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Compliance & Safety:

Ensure all work is performed in accordance with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
Implement and maintain safety protocols on all project sites.

Qualifications:

Education:

Helpful: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Helpful: Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.

Experience:

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience managing MEP projects, with a focus on MEP systems.
Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget in the construction or engineering sector.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of MEP systems
Excellent project management, organizational, and leadership skills.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
