Musical Theater Teacher for Fine Arts Summer Camp

Miami Fine Arts Academy is seeking an energetic, experienced, and kid-friendly Musical Theater Teacher for our Fine Arts Summer Camp.

We are looking for a teacher who loves working with children, brings positive energy to the classroom, and can teach age-appropriate musical theater activities that help young campers build confidence, creativity, stage presence, and performance skills.

Schedule

Monday–Friday
8:30 AM–3:00 PM
Includes a 45-minute lunch break

Summer Camp runs from June 8 to August 7 (one week off from June 29–July 3) with the possibility of continued contract work after the summer.

Responsibilities

Teach Musical Theater classes to children ages 5–12
Lead students in singing, acting, movement, character development, and stage presence activities
Prepare simple, age-appropriate scenes, songs, and/or performance material for camp activities and showcases
Create a fun, safe, and encouraging classroom environment
Help students build confidence, creativity, teamwork, and performance skills
Work professionally with camp staff, counselors, and Academy administration
Maintain a positive, organized, and reliable presence throughout the camp day

Requirements

Experience teaching Musical Theater, acting, voice, or performance to children
Strong classroom management skills
Fun, warm, and energetic personality
Ability to lead and motivate small groups of children
Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
Ability to prepare students for a short camp showcase is a plus
Piano skills are a plus but not required
College degree preferred but not required; qualified teachers without a college degree will be considered

Selected candidates may be asked to teach a brief 20-minute mock class as part of the interview process.
