Full Job Description

NorthgateHR Partners is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a well-established, family-owned manufacturing organization located in Medley, Florida.

Human Resources Generalist

With over 45 years of operational success, this company is a recognized leader in manufacturing walk-in coolers and freezers serving the hospitality, retail, restaurant, and supermarket industries.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on HR professional who enjoys working closely with leadership while managing the day-to-day human resources functions that support a growing manufacturing operation. The Human Resources Generalist will partner directly with ownership and management to help strengthen HR processes, support employees, ensure compliance, and contribute to a positive and productive workplace culture.

This role is ideal for an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys balancing employee support with operational needs, and is motivated by making a meaningful impact within an established organization.

Position Summary

The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for supporting and administering a broad range of HR functions, including employee relations, recruitment, payroll administration, compliance, performance management, and HR operations. This position serves as a trusted resource to employees and management while helping ensure the company's HR practices align with business objectives and employment regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations & Performance Management

Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and HR-related matters.
Support employee relations activities, including investigations, conflict resolution, coaching, and disciplinary processes.
Assist managers with employee performance discussions, evaluations, and corrective action plans.
Promote a positive, respectful, and accountable workplace culture.

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

Manage the full recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
Coordinate new hire orientation and onboarding activities.
Support employee retention and engagement initiatives.
Assist with workforce planning and staffing needs.

HR Operations, Payroll & Compliance

Process and oversee weekly payroll administration with accuracy and confidentiality.
Maintain employee records and personnel files.
Assist with the development, implementation, and administration of HR policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Support workplace safety initiatives, reporting, and compliance requirements.

HR Systems & Process Improvement

Utilize HRIS platforms such as Paylocity to maintain employee data and reporting.
Prepare HR reports and support management with workforce-related information.
Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and administrative efficiency.
Leverage technology and AI tools where appropriate to streamline HR operations.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive HR experience in an HR Generalist or similar role.
Experience supporting a manufacturing, production, industrial, or blue-collar workforce environment strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of employment laws, HR compliance requirements, and HR best practices.
Experience using HRIS platforms such as Paylocity or similar systems.
Fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
Experience leveraging technology and AI tools to improve efficiency and productivity.
