ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

A growing consumer brand is seeking a strategic and commercially driven ecommerce leader to oversee and scale its Direct-to-Consumer business. This opportunity is ideal for a high-impact leader who thrives at the intersection of ecommerce performance, digital experience, AI innovation, and consumer growth.

This role will serve as the operational and strategic lead for the US ecommerce channel, driving conversion, revenue growth, customer engagement, and digital optimization across multiple consumer-facing platforms and emerging commerce technologies.

The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen with hands-on ecommerce expertise and a deep understanding of modern consumer acquisition, merchandising, retention, analytics, and AI-enabled commerce.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Revenue & Ecommerce Performance

Own ecommerce revenue growth, conversion optimization, and overall digital channel performance
Lead site merchandising, promotional planning, and customer journey optimization
Monitor performance analytics and implement strategies to improve KPIs including AOV, conversion, retention, and traffic quality

Digital Experience & Merchandising

Oversee site experience, category strategy, and product discoverability
Drive content and landing page strategies that improve engagement and conversion
Partner cross-functionally with creative, UX, marketing, and analytics teams

Marketing & Consumer Growth

Align ecommerce priorities with performance marketing, retention, and affiliate strategies
Optimize landing page and promotional strategies for paid media campaigns
Support lifecycle marketing and customer acquisition initiatives

AI & Emerging Commerce

Lead exploration and implementation of AI-enabled ecommerce capabilities
Evaluate AI commerce tools, personalization technologies, and emerging shopping platforms
Help shape future-state digital commerce strategies and workflows

Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership

Serve as a key partner across marketing, operations, analytics, and executive leadership
Drive alignment across teams to ensure consistent execution of ecommerce priorities
Contribute to strategic planning and organizational growth initiatives

IDEAL BACKGROUND

10+ years of ecommerce, digital marketing, or DTC leadership experience
Strong experience scaling ecommerce revenue within a consumer products or lifestyle brand environment
Deep hands-on Shopify expertise
Strong understanding of paid media, retention marketing, affiliate programs, and conversion optimization
Experience leveraging analytics platforms such as GA4, Shopify Analytics, Looker, or similar tools
Familiarity with AI-enabled commerce, conversational commerce, or emerging digital shopping experiences strongly preferred
Strong executive presence, communication skills, and cross-functional leadership capability
